09/03/2021 — The forced lockdown has created time for many entrepreneurs to create new business associations across the UK.  Ferno Time Ltd has been developed in Hampshire between Sandy Duncan, a former Microsoft Vice President (who had the responsibility of launching X box into Europe), and Will Wiseman, a former consultant within a prestigious Southampton jeweller having gained BSc (Hons) Business Entrepreneurship at the University of Southampton. Sandy Duncan’s acute business acumen fine-tuned over 4 decades is successfully complementing Will Wiseman’s in-depth, specialist knowledge of the luxury collectable watch sector and Panerai to launch the Romsey based Ferno Time Ltd.

“We launched the online boutique in November and have already achieved a turnover exceeding £100,000 as we have been able to match collectable pre-owned watches with some very discerning buyers and the company is now attracting a strong following from national and international collectors,” said Will Wiseman.  “The range of watches from the Italian designed, Swiss manufactured Panerai are seeing a particularly high demand from international collectors.  Recent sales have shipped to Hong Kong, Netherlands, Austria and Germany.”

The two proprietors are now concentrating on stock acquisition and developing their network of contacts both in the UK and overseas.  As they are trading in collectable and limited-edition watches, often procuring a watch to meet a particular request from a collector, the Ferno Time team admit that it is not as easy as it looks to get the desired watch on the appropriate wrist.

“The start up has required a significant investment to ensure that we achieve customer satisfaction for our high-net-worth clients,” admits Sandy Duncan. “Fortunately, Will’s experience in the market compliments my broader business experience but it is fair to say we are both passionate about the products we provide.”
